Dr. Ajay Rajan Gupta
Managing Director & Group Chief Executive Officer, IUIH
Dr Ajay Rajan Gupta MBBS, MS, MRCS, FRCS, FIUIHRCS, MCh is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at the NHS with over 20 years in the medical field. As Managing Director and Group CEO of IUIH, Dr. Gupta has spearheaded the project leading a team of Indian and UK based promotors with the support of the Indian and UK Governments. He has had extensive experience in the areas of healthcare policy, management and research and has been an advisor to various government agencies and organisations. Additionally, Dr. Gupta’s work has been recognised by various organisations. In 2011 he was awarded the ‘Young Entrepreneur Award’ in Dubai for his work on Healthcare Excellence across the UAE. In 2012, he was awarded the ‘Achievers Healthcare Award’ in India for his contributions to Affordable Healthcare in India. In 2013, he was awarded ‘Young Scientist Award’ in Las Vegas for drawing up strategies and framework for Universal and Affordable Healthcare. In 2014, he was awarded ‘Medical Maestro Award’ by Mr Richard Harrington, Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party at the House of Lords, London.
Prof. Mike Parker
Professor Mike Parker, BSc, MS, FRCS, FRCS(Ed), FCASE, is a surgeon of 25 years standing, recently retired from the NHS. He is a General Surgeon with a special interest in Laparoscopic surgery and Coloproctology. He is a past President of the Surgical Section of the RSM, ACPGBI and ALSGBI. He is a Trustee and past Treasurer of the European Society of Coloproctology.
He has Honorary Fellowships of the Society of South African Endoscopic Surgeons, the Association of Surgeons of India, the Caribbean College of Surgeons, the Brazilian College of Surgeons, the College of Surgeons of Peru; Honorary Life Membership of the Colorectal Society of Australasia and New Zealand, the Caribbean Society of Endoscopic Surgeons and the European Society of Coloproctology.
He is also Chairman of the Centres for Diabetes Care (CDC).
He is a current Council member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was elected Vice President in 2014.
Prof Mohan Kaul
Vice Chairman IUIH
Dr Mohan Kaul is a champion of globalisation and emerging markets, with business interests in India, Africa and Asia, Dr Mohan Kaul is an influential and well-connected policy adviser, business leader, social entrepreneur, development specialist and academician. He was the founding Director General and Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Commonwealth Business Council established by the Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM) in 1997. Other positions he has held include – Member of the Board of Directors and the Chair of Governance Committee of ICICI Bank (UK), member of the Board of Directors of the UK – India Business Council, Central Council of the Royal Overseas League and the World Bank’s Africa Virtual University. Additionally, Dr Kaul was Professor and Dean at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. He has also been an Advisor to the various Departments of the Government of India and Government of Gujarat, including the Planning Commission, Electronics Commission and Department of Foreign Trade.
